Why farmers markets?

Farmers Markets are a vital component of a thriving local food system. They build community and provide local farms with a direct-to-customer market, which makes it more affordable for all of us to eat fresh and local.

When we shop at a farmers market, more of the hard earned dollars we spend on food goes directly to the local humans that grew and harvested it, which keeps those dollars in our local community, supporting strong regional economies.
