Meeting Time: Thursday November 12th 2026
Meeting Overview: This is a casual convening of local Pennsylvania farmers and food producers in Bradford, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Susquehanna, and Wyoming counties to identify needs and opportunities within our regional food system.
Our goal is to help support a thriving regional food system here in Northeastern PA in order to grow markets, increase grower wages, and improve food access.
Meeting Location: Black Scranton Project Center for Arts & Culture, 1902 N. Main Ave, Scranton, PA
Meeting Agenda:
A casual convo on the topic of "what would make this group most effective for you and your farm.”
What food education resources, organizations, and programs already exist that are helping people learn to cook, garden, or preserve food?
Food education helps more people eat local, eat healthy, and support local agriculture; we’ve identified that farmers feel too busy to do a great job at food education; and being able to support or partner with these organizations can help us get more people eating whole foods and locally grown foods.
